  • The Environment // All New Forever // Seattle WA

Hi guys! The lack of visible ACLs activity over the past year has been in service of starting this new project called The Environment. We thank you so so so much for supporting us over the years, and we hope you’ll be into what we’re doing next! Follow us on our new facebook and twitter for updates!

  • NEW SINGLE OUT TODAY!

  • Here is the video for our new single, Feeling With Feeling!

  • Big show this Saturday!

We’re playing with some wonderful bands in a terrific venue, so don’t miss it! We’ll be debuting our brand new single, we’ll have free download cards to give out, and we’ve learned a super smooth cover song for the occasion. Looking forward to seeing you there!

    TICKETS / FACEBOOK EVENT

  • I can’t begin to convey how excited I am to tell you this: We are playing Doe Bay Fest 2013!!! Check out the full lineup here. It’s going to be a great weekend on Orcas, as always!

While we’ve got your attention, Jason made this amazing lyric video for Industry (see above). Full-screen it and you may feel like you’re actually using Microsoft Powerpoint. Don’t be alarmed. Jason has done all the graphing, bulleting, and fancy transitioning for you, so just kick back and let these stock photos and text animations dazzle the eye and illuminate the mind.

  • Big week coming up!

Hey! So here’s the first thing that rules about next week: On Sunday, we’re going to be opening for Ozomatli at the Showbox again! You can get tickets HERE.

Stay tuned for more things that rule about next week. There are several.

  • Here is a demo for a song that I wrote exactly one year ago. I don’t have plans to do anything further with it, but I thought I’d share it now, just for kicks.

I was walking from Capitol Hill to Queen Anne in the evening, after there had been some demonstrations and reports of vandalism and stuff. Scratching out some casual observations as I went (more to do with what I’d heard about than what I’d actually seen, since things had quieted down by that point; even the few straggling juggalos I passed on Denny looked more placid than not), I arrived at home with enough lines to form the verses and part of the bridge.

It took a little while to develop and finish, as things do, and by the time I got around to recording the demo, it turned into what has to be the sassiest groove I’ve ever written. It’s called “12 Bar May Day Rag,” although it should be noted that the sections are not cut up into 12-bar phrases, and I don’t think it could even be defined as a rag, technically. Misdirection all over the place!

P.S. The next official ACLs single, “Industry,” is coming very soon!!!

  • Hey all!
The tour was a ridiculously good time! We’ll have a full recap of our adventures in the next installment of our newsletter, CreeperSpeak Quarterly (which you can subscribe to via the link on the right side of this page). In the meantime, Seattle friends can welcome us back home in person at this awesome Chop Suey show!
